Tiplings is a subsidiary of Tip Me Frederick Inc.
Mission
To save the most vulnerable cats and kittens from TMF’s active TNR sites, where it’s unsafe. To heal and foster them through adoption into homes where they can thrive and be loved.
Tiplings now manages the PetSmart Adoption Center at 5401 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD.
We host adoption events on Wednesdays 6pm to 8pm and Saturdays 1pm to 4pm. If you’d like to adopt a cat outside of those hours, please text 301-465-1094.
We do same day adoptions and prefer for the safety of the cat that you transport in a hard sided carrier.
Adoption Process
1. Meet and Greet kitty
2. Fill out Adoption Discussion
3. Fill out Adoption Contract (sign the back)
4. Discuss with Tiplings Volunteer and determine best fit.
5. Complete Application with Tiplings Volunteer
6. Pay Fee
7. Receive Medical Records, Microchip Information and take home the cat!
Tiplings has the right to decline an adoption at any point.
Foster
Sometimes, we encounter cats who cannot be returned to their colonies for medical reasons or because they are too young. Other times, we have cats in need of fostering who need to be rehomed.
These cats need a temporary home that provides them with appropriate food, shelter, and fresh water with regular human interaction so that they may one day be adopted to a barn, colony, or. if well-socialized, to a household.
Once fully vetted which includes a neuter or spay, rabies and 2 distemper vaccines, a negative test result for FELV/FIV and microchipped, the cats are transfered into the Adoption Center at PetSmart.
